The media is constantly bombarding us with news of offensive records and making all sorts of comparisons between contemporaneous teams and teams across years. I want to see the PATS go for some of these records, especially after their achievements were downgraded over the years as scrappy, boring, flukish, and freakish. Now if people stop characterizing the PATS this way OR if the league stops keeping offensive stats / records, then I'll be happy to endorse any argument against scoring.
Not that that's the PATS' official position. BB feels that with big early leads he earned an opportunity to experiment with schemes and players and do some learning / testing under real game conditions. It's vital, especially with a contest against the COLTS looming.

Report Offensive CommentThe player's union has just announced that the NFL will offer group psychotherapy for players caused significant distress or impairment by the Patriot offense in recent weeks. There is an 8-player limit per group and the facilitator, who will hold a license in clinical psychology, will make referrals to psychiatrists where psychopharmacologic intervention is indicated.
Groups will be convened based on the results of a diagnostic assessment, from which players will be assigned to one of three groups: (1) post-traumatic stress disorder group (2) self-esteem and (3) anger management.
