That Lowell bit sounds reasonable at first, but the final stat proves the fallacy.
This year--a great year for Lowell--he hit 21 HRs in 593 ABs, which means he hit a HR in 3.5% of his ABs. But 3 career HRs in 90 ABs at Yankee Stadium is a HR 3.3% of the time. Or put it this way...if he had ONE more career homer at Yankee stadium, it would actually be a better percentage than he had all year. And that would make the Yankees "leery"...?
Sometimes writers should actually read what they write, huh?
