Spurs optimistically, will be stronger next year. I hope Greg Popovich will get better and younger players now. I think Bonner and Udoka needs more exposure and motivation. Bonner played good during the regular season, I think bettter than Oberto. The Spurs need another slasher or shooter in their fold. One who could be the next sixth man. Manu Ginobili is better to be on the 1st five lineup. For me, good candidates for it in the line up would be Corey Magette, Shawn Marion, Ron Artest, Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison, Matt Barnes, Bostjan Nachbar or Gordan Giricek. Also another big intimidating center is needed. Good candidates are Jermaine O'Neal, Chris Mihm, Jamaal Magloire, Jake Voskuhl, Chris Andersen, Primoz Brezec and Sean Marks. The Spurs can be a powerhouse team if Popovich wills it. It's rumored that he likes old veteran players. I hope he changes his perspective and his kind of play because all NBA teams are improving. He needs to change his conservative predictable play. Tony Parker needs to improve his pointguard role. Yes he's indeed a scorer, but does he organize the play of the team as good as Chris Paul? Evidently he's doesn't. His play is concentrated mainly on his own scoring. Manu Ginobili is more of the pointguard role but he needs to focus on his scoring abilities. He needs to forget his unselfishness in passing and learn how to carry a leadership role. Because obviously, he still has a lot of potential and can carry the team when the time comes when Duncan is no longer around. I know he can fade away and needs to improve it. He needs to practice slam dunking because it will increase his jumping ability and penetrating power. He needs to increase his scoring arsenal. He is the next feasible leader of the team. Greg Popovich needs to devote his attention not only to Duncan and old veterans but to other younger players with potential. The Spurs need to plan as early as now on how to rebuild the team with focus on younger players. Because these younger players are the future of the Spurs.
