Some of the Eagles' key veterans are aged and even long in the tooth. However, what's missing in this bleak picture that seems like an ad for Geritol or the AARP? Young players are starting at most key positions with the exception of those spots such as QB, FS, DE, and CB. You don't want rookies starting at those positions! The learning curve is a fast one in the NFL, and it is far better to groom and train a player so they can be ready when it's their time. The Eagles staff always leaves room for competition, regarless of experience or tenure on the team. When Justice is good enough he will replace Runyon or Thomas. When Moats is good enough he could replace Buckhalter or even Westbrook. Until then, the best player will always be on the field for the Eagles.
