Well, my football league has resolved itself and, like my predecessor in Pittsburgh of the Allen-Bell Football League, I have reached the playoff semi-finals. Two fourth-quarter turnovers did the trick as I scored a 45-31 win over a Dallas team led by Tony Romo.

My basketball leagues are going fairly well. I'm in two retro leagues and a current-day one, all with Action! PC Basketball.  Just before the season in the retro Chuck taylor League, I traded Spencer Haywood straight-up for "Sweet" Lou Hudson, and oddly enough the result is that my Portland team, which was secon-to-last in the Pacific last season, is in a dogfight for the division lead this time. And I wish I could figure out why.

 And I'm oddly enough finding the league I love most this season is a hockey league. I'm playing Strat-O-Matic's computer hockey game in this league and my shot at the playoffs is slipping away, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. And that's why we play the games, right

 Anyway, it's a big time of the year coming up for us sim fans; the time of year the new baseball cards and upgrades come out from companies like Strat, Action and APBA. I don't know if anyone here is making the pil;grimage to Glen Head for Strat-O-Matic's opening day. I never havem but then I'm on the other side of the continent and thus have an excuse.
