Although Isiah Thomas has not won a single playoff game since coming to New York, the Knicks' embattled president and coach predicted on Wednesday night that the franchise will win an NBA championship. With Thomas in charge. Seriously. Sounding delusional, Thomas appeared to be talking to Garden chairman James Dolan through the media by saying he believes the Knicks will win a title and by reiterating that he has no plans to resign.

As long as he coaches that cannot happen.  He is destroying a championship caliber roster now with by far the worst coaching job in basketball history which says a lot considering ALL NBA coaches are putrid.  If he hires Roy Williams his words are prophetic but he's the coach so they're PATHETIC

Did you read the words of New York Knick Malik Rose today? When a player who is cashing your checks say that you aren't a championship worthy team that should say something.

Plus, why in the hell would you put Roy Williams on the Knicks? A college coach with no pro experience couldn't do much better than Isiah. Sorry. I agree that Isiah needs to go, but his replacement needs to be someone who knows the pro game and can whip these guys into shape. Scott Skiles would never last as Knick coach but he wouldn't be bad in the interim. Let him coach a transitioning roster for two years while the Knicks weed out the bad apples.
