Going on a hunch here, but I've got this feeling that Rutgers tailback Ray Rice will come back next year for his senior year. It would just fit with the attitude that Coach Schiano has set for the program. He'll probably be reminded of the secondary roll his predecessor, Brian Leonard, adopted when Rice came on to the scene three years ago. At that time, Leonard was the go to guy and was even being touted as a Heisman candidate in his own right. You know the rest of the story. If you don't know much about Rice, he's one of the good guys. A team player and humble young man; a giver, not a taker, and of course, an outstanding running back. Sort of reminds me of Emmit Smith. He's that type of runner. One of the key factors that may work against his coming back is the fact that the Rutgers offensive line (a very good group) was heavy with seniors this year. For our sake, I hope that he decides to play for one more year in New Brunswick.

Report Offensive CommentI think it will be a tough decision for Rice.He will probably file the paperwork to see how high he would go and if he's not a first rounder he will return to college.Rutgers has the chance to be great next year.

Report Offensive CommentCincy, I tend to agree with you. He's got a chance to be even more special and to continue to help Rutgers football to new heights. Thanks

Report Offensive CommentThanks, of course in all the papers around here today is the story that Rice is "leaning toward the NFL." Shows how much I know ;)

Kansas is losing Talib, and of course the "power" schools are losing a heap of players... I'd like the presidents to keep using the "academic" reason for not having a FBS (IA) playoff... when the players most likely to play in such games end up leaving early for the "major leagues". It makes them seem all the more hypocritical, which of course, they are...

Report Offensive CommentI would like to see him stay at Rutgers, untainted for another year. I guess a man has to do what a man has to do though.
