I don't know if he looks as credible as he could be with his denials. It sounds to me like his answers are more like half truths. What do you think? Was he framed? Is he content to fade away from the public eye and become the next Pete Rose? With the consequences of perjury in this matter swirling from U.S. v. Barry Bonds, would you find Roger Clemens more credible if he testified before Congress that he never knowingly took performance enhancers?

Who do i believe? A trainer who got immunity to testify or the professional athelete? I really do not know either of these chaps well enough to go beyond this simple analysis however, there has been nothing I have read or heard over the years about Roger that makes me doubt his veracity.
I believe Roger. Or more to the point I do not believe McNamee. He smells rotten to me. Looking for his 15 minutes of fame on the back of Roger. Anyone who would rat out someone else to escape from justice has disqualified themselves as having any honor.
Who would I want as a neighbor, friend or babysitter?
I pick the man over the rat. I believe Roger.

Here is another look at Clemens and his interview with Mike Wallace last evening...

Remember, Rafael Palmiero had no problem looking elected officials in the eyes and lying under oath... I think too many perjured athletes have left a fan base jaded toward the whole fight against doping...

I would tend to believe the person who had nothing to gain (and everything to lose) from lying to federal authorities. McNamee might be a shady character... but, then again, that's what we've thought about Jose Canseco for some time now, and everything he spewed out in "Juiced" has come to be corroborated...
Clemens hasn't come under suspicion for quite some time merely because he is ROGER CLEMENS. His name has protected him too long... if he was some dupe playing single-A ball in some far-flung outpost, he would already have had to come to pay his penance...
