Although the Chase is dominating headlines here the past couple of weeks we all know there will be attention given to Las Vegas Motor Speedway at the activities going on there. It's the 800 pound gorilla in the room...The Saturday afternoon Truck Race!
But seriously it is the final race of the Indy Car season, and only 1 driver has taken up the $5 million dollar challenge, former champ Dan Wheldon. You think he has a shot to pull one over on the Indy regulars and win the race?

Saw a commercial on ABC touting the IRL even as the finale to the career that made Kermita the Superstar she is.
After that and throwing up, I had another beer.

I have not watched a IRL race for some time.
I watched bits of the Indy 500.
Was not what it use to be in my eyes.
Is the end near for IRL?
Cup racing a Saturday Night race ... hopfully I will get home in time to see most of it

Doubtful. If the split didn't kill it then I think it is safe for a while yet.
Exposure will drop with Danica leaving. And I really think having most of their races broadcasted on Vs it hurting exposure as well.
But one redeeming quality, if you want to call him that, is Randy Bernard. Say what you will about some of his ideas, at least he it thinking outside of the box. Just think how many people, and media, would show up if NASCAR tried a similar high money promotion for a non-regular driver winning their finale, or even the Daytona 500 or the Brickyard 400.

I heard they are redesigning her firesuit next year. Supposedly all that is going to fit is www.godaddy.com, but it is going to have to be divided up into 2 parts.

Don't forget, the Charlotte race is on ABC this weekend, which means there will be NO online Race Buddy coverage. This is because of ABC's clause that no live sporting event is simulcast online and TV.

Was watching Nationwide Quals and Cup practice, they had a few commercials for the IRL race this weekend and asked us to watch the racing that made Danica Patrick a " Superstar " HUH !!!
