The Mariners returned from Yankee Stadium to their midtown Manhattan hotel by bus, and third baseman Adrian Beltre fell asleep. When the bus arrived, he was still snoozing, and his teammates decided to disembark quietly and let the bus depart with him still aboard. The driver, who had no idea there was still a passenger, was taking the bus back to its garage in Queens. Fortunately for Beltre, the bus hadn't made it farther than about a block. He got off and walked to the hotel, fuming.

Not sure how to analyze this one. At the heart of it I love to see that my team is having some fun and if they can carry that over to the ballpark we might have a shot in the weak AL West after all. On the other hand if my boy A.B. is falling asleep on the bus after going Yonkers for the win it means he couldn't have been enjoying himself that much right? Either way I'll take a split in the Bronx and a solid performance tonight against the Tigers any time. Mariners are sticking around in the West just like last year but I feel another meltdown after the All Star break if not sooner. Until then go M's!
