Browns want to keep Anderson
Phil Savage made a strong commitment to quarterback Derek Anderson being part of the Browns' future during a media get-together Wednesday afternoon. Savage said the Browns would like to have Anderson with the team in 2008 ''and beyond.'' ''I think the deserving thing is to say that he's the starter going into next year,'' said Savage, the Browns general manager. Now it's down to numbers."

The Browns need to keep Anderson. The reason all of their seasons go to crap is because as soon as they get good players, they lose them. Hold on to him and fork out the money. Its a good long term investment.

I agree..., Anderson's only 24 and young but, he played great last season! 29 td's, 3787 yards..., nice season! Sure he got sacked 14 times and had 19 int's but, it was his first full season..., he can turn this team into a contender and now that Crennel's back? They need to lock their good young players up and in a year or two they'll be back in the playoffs.
