Kasey got to drive a Hendrick car. No colours, no decals , gray car. Grey fire suit.
Was for NASCAR feul injection testing but was a Hendrick car just the same.
Wow did not expect that much difference in a car than from Red Bull car.
I guess there is big differance from one car to the next and will be interesting to see how long it will take Kasey to get use to the car.

It shouldn't take him long. He is doing well win Red Bull equipment given the situation going on there. His finishes don't quite reflect how well he has been running. Plus there might be some secrets being hidden from him and CC Kenny Francis by Toyota since they are only in a Toy for a season.
Kasey is a good driver when given good equipment. When he drover for Everenham, and Ray actually cared about the team, he did very well, but once the team started to be bought, sold, and merged that was when his, and his teammates performances dropped.
Had he stayed with Petty for this year he might have done well again, but it was either a choice of signing with HMS and Red Bull, or stay with a team who may or may not have been racing next week. (at the time)

I think he has the opportunity to finally fulfill the expectations most have had of him.

It will be interesting to see him in a HMS car. I think he'll do well and might even give JJ a run. Unless of course Junior's luck rubs off on him.

Never cared much for Kasey, he always seemed to be screwing up my drivers day. But I must admit, he has done an excellent job for Red Bull this year.

It's cool we all make typo's, just ragging you but you bring up a point dear to me:
When I raced motorcycles we EARNED OUR NUMBER!
Hint:
When you watch them race and see a number plate with 1 on it, that means he was THE BEST last year.
of course numbers change every year and that would hurt tattoo parlors down south, (what would they do with all the 8's)

and if you ask me Kasey could easily win the NC in that number 5 next year. He's always had the talent from day one in cup (2nd place finish in his first race) just never had the equipment.

The coveted # 1 in M/C racing. Remember that stuff well. Many years ago, too many to count myself and a few friends promoted Scrambles and then in January we had our Awards Night. A nice mid winter get together, we passed out the numbers for the following season. Great memories. LOL about the 8's

Would not have that problem in Wisconsin ... had the 150th year of the State Plates since 1998 .. replace them Last year with New Plates, for FREE, cause the State had some with numbers wearing off after 12 years ... still see cars with them ...

saw an article the other day about Lowe's closing up a number of stores. Slow sales was the reason, which makes sense in the housing market suppliers business. I wonder if they will look to cut sponsorship

Forgot about that. You may have hit the nail on the head. Its rare that anyone comes back from a bad accident. Senior was did about the best and it took him a couple years too.
