Each week, the Women R Us group chooses a member to shine a spotlight on. We do this to introduce the women of the group to the rest of Fannation. Why? Because they are bright, strong, beautiful women who love their sports and are just as passionate and vocal as any man. It also makes the world a bit more pleasant if you have one more person to say hello to when you pass by them.

This weeks Member spotlight is on Julia. You all know her as UpstateSoxBabe. Julia hails from Rochester NY but is a devoted Boston sports fan. Her sports passions revolve around the Red Sox but Juilia also loves the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. Not to shun her hometown heroes, Julia's also a fan of the Bills and Sabres. She also likes the Twins - and I'm still confused about that!

Juila is active on FN and a good friend. She was one of the first people I "met" here on FN and has a heart of gold. If you get a chance and see Julia at a TD or a thread, do yourself a favor and say hello. She'll make your day.

I asked Julia some questions recently, and heres what I learned!

Q.If you could sit down and interview one person (dead or alive) - who would it be?

A. I interview a LOT of people every year, so I'd love to talk to one of the finest interviewers ever: Johnny Carson.

Q. What would be the one question you would want them to answer?

A. If you could sit down and interview one person (dead or alive) - who would it be????

Q. What is your favorite way to spend a Friday night?

A. Watching Friday Night Lights and Numbers with my family. Our big night is Saturday???a fabulous dinner with my husband at our favorite restaurant, a night at the Symphony, capped off by drinks with friends.

Q. What was the last book you read?

A. I just finished Faithful by Stephen King and Stewart O???Nan, and just started The Rest is Noise by Alex Ross.

Q. What are your favorite genres or music?

A. Classical: Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Mozart, and Philip Glass
Alt/Rock: Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Patty Smith, U2

A. Barcelona, Spain and it ROCKED!

A. Send lawyers, guns, and money???

Q. What is your favorite animated movie?

A. Tie: My Neighbor Totoro and The Iron Giant. It depends on my mood I'm. Any Miyazaki film could do in a pinch.

Q. If you were to stranded on a deserted island, what would be the one thing you would want to have ? (no cell or wireless

A. The Riverside Shakespeare.

Q. If you had to be stranded with another person, who would it be and why?

A. My husband, Peter! He's my best friend and a fabulous cook. If I could sneak my daughters in too, that would be great.

Well, there you have it ! Say Hello to Julia and show some love to one of the best on FN !
