As I'm sure most of you have seen Ricky Williams will not be allowed to apply for reinstatement into the NFL until September, because he again tested positive for Marijuana, this time in April.  Honestly Ricky, what are you thinking?  After all, you failed 4 tests before receiving your one year suspension and now when you are going for reinstatement, you go out and fail another, this is ridiculous and inexcusable.

Ricky it might just be time to hang it up.  You have shown by this positive test that you are in no way interested in returning to the NFL.  It really can't be that hard to stay off Marijuana, I mean I've seen some big time pot heads give it up over my lifetime.  You just need a kick in the head to get your act together.

Now the ridiculous thing is that if and when you are reinstated someone is going to take a chance on you and give you the opportunity to play football again.  When this happens I hope that you will have your head on straight and not test positively again, but can we really expect that to happen?  Because truthfully if you know you can't do it, you should just retire now and let it go rather than further disgrace yourself.  Play in the CFL for the rest of your career if you want, but don't come back just to fail another NFL Drug Test.

I mean you do realize that you are getting paid to play a game?  A game where people look up to you and whether you like it or not are/were a role model for children everywhere.  And what an example you set, continually failing drug tests and walking out on your teammates.  Like I said if you can't get your act together, just go back to the CFL and accept that your NFL career is over.

Quote of the Day

“I don't like to lose, and that isn't so much because it is just a football game, but because defeat means the failure to reach your objective. I don't want a football player who doesn't take defeat to heart, who laughs it off with the thought, 'Oh, well, there's another Saturday.' The trouble in American life today, in business as well as in sports, is that too many people are afraid of competition. The result is that in some circles people have come to sneer at success if it costs hard work and training and sacrifice.”
