Just some thoughts from this weekend...

How could you Tiger, how could you

Michigan should have won that game

Rex Grossman looked like Kyle Orton on Sunday. Too bad Chad Pennington didn't

How can anyone throw for 510 yards and not score more than 16 points?

Without Marques Colston, will we see a late-season collapse by America's Saints?

Can Chad Johnson announce he is a premier receiver any louder?

I got quite lucky in my picks this week, as several teams enjoyed last second victories, including the Steelers, Bills, and Chiefs

After 21 minutes of the Pats game, all of us watching were praying they would switch over to some more exciting games

Can LJ be ran into the ground or is he simply Earl Campbell's clone? I hate to see what this guy is going to walk like in 20 years

Its about time those Panthers played some real defense!

Looks like the Redskins might win 1 or 2 more games this year

Looks like my prediction that the Eagles will finish 10-6 has lost its validity as Philly loses its QB for a second straight year

That Dolphins defense is pretty dominant, isnt it? Jason Taylor better win the AFC Defensive POY

Those gold digging 49ers actually pulled it off! Frank Gore, ohhh Frank Gore!

Yes, I will be the first one to tell you that my Lions suck

Peyton Manning plays awful against 3-4 defenses

LT is the 2nd best player in the NFL, but after another 4 TDs yesterday, I'm thinking he's tied, and he should win the outright MVP this year. My prediction: Chargers win the Super Bowl

Since it is finally Thanksgiving week, I will also give you a sampling of my week 12 picks!

Miami at Detroit, Thursday 12:30 PM

Well, Detroit always wins on Thanksgiving, or at least they seem to always win. Then again, I predicted last Friday that the Dolphins are going to make a run at the playoffs. If they are going to do that, then they will most certainly run over the injury riddled Detroit Lions. If Kevin Jones was hurt Sunday, I'd give him little chance at playing on Thursday. I'm expecting a decent game for Roy Williams, but the way the Miami D is playing, Detroit might get beaten like a side of beef. Also, after Ronnie Brown's injury-plagued 2 yard rushing performance against the Vikings on Sunday, I'll go out on a limb and say he'll do better than that this turkey day. I'll give him about 95 yards and 2 TDs.

Final Score: Dolphins 21, Detroit 16

Tampa Bay at Dallas, Thursday 4:15pm

What a wonderful performance by Tuna's squad yesterday, knocking the once-thought-there-was-a-possibility-of-an-undefeated-season Colts out of the realm of perfection. As one of my buddies, who hates Peyton Manning informs me, Manning can't get it done against 3-4 defenses. Lets take a quick look at some of the teams he's struggled against in the recent past- Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys... All teams employ a 3-4 defense. What is it about the 3-4? Perhaps Peyton doesn't see the pass rush from the 2nd level? Who knows. All I know is that the Chargers are going to beat the Colts in the playoffs with their 3-4, and they are going to win the Super Bowl. You've heard it hear first, folks. Now I just need to goto Lids and get myself a Chargers hat. Oh, and yes, Dallas wins this one with little problem.

Final Score: Cowboys 26, Bucs 14

Denver at Kansas City

We saw what LT can do against the stingy run defense of the Broncos. There's little reason why LJ can't accomplish the same thing. Although I think LJ can be effective, I don't see the Chiefs and their one-dimensional offense beating the 3rd best team in the AFC. A note to Herm Edwards, don't pound LJ into the ground if he has 20 carries for 50 yards in the first half. Although it is not a good idea to give up on a game in the NFL, playing an NFL game on 3 days rest seems cruel and unusual. I recommend they extend the bye week to Week 11 for the teams playing on Thanksgiving. That way, no one plays a short week and the tradition is still upheld, with less risk of injury to the players. Comments on that?

Final Score: Denver 31, Kansas City 17

I hope everyone has a great holiday, and may you all have something to be thankful for. I'll see you on Friday for my remaining NFL picks.
