A season of great expectations ended with a heart breaking loss.  A quick flashback of what could have been, began with a barn burner with the same team that ended our season.  week 2 was an easy win over a bad Dolphin team. Then came the mighty Bears, in my mind I wondered, If we could hang with their stout "D", we did in spectacular fashion.  Week 4 brings us another easy victory over the Rams, little did we know that the cupcake in the Bills, would take a miracle sent staight from heaven.  On to the game of the season, we were humbled by the team of the decade in the Patriots.

Next we have 3 easy games, and 1 hard fought game with the Skins, can you believe it the Dallas Cowboys are 10-1 heading to a game with Home field in the playoffs at stake.  A matchup with Bret Favre that we dominated early ended up as a tough win. Unfortunately we stumbled down the stretch, a couple close victories against bad teams, a close loss  to Philly and a blowout loss on the road to the Skins, that I didn't think mattered. From those late season struggles, we also had a ankle injury to our top wideout, you know his name "TO".  Not to worry I thought, we have two weeks to rest, get a good game plan and heal TO's ankle.

What happened next left a passionate Cowboy fan, feeling distraught and punch drunk beyond belief.  That being said, I must take off my hat and congratulate the Giants on a victory in a hard fought game. Yes, at times we shot ourselves in the foot, with bad penalties, dropped passes and poor clock management. What truely lost the game for us was NY's 4th quarter relentless pass rush.  All I can do is sit back and wait for next year, again congratulations and good luck to the NY Giants. That is unless you run in to, my second favorite team the New England Patriots.

I never thought the Cowboys had the ability to make it. Just watching them in the last couple of weeks proved that and now it finally showed in the playoff. Need to get back into the drawing board boys! The boys are just not ready for the Championship nor the Bowl. Good LUCK next year!
