I anticipate a major overhaul of the roster this offseason. I think we're finally going to get rid of the Vermeil players that don't fit the scheme and bring in some guys that are more "Hermcentric". If I were going to sign a handfull of free agents, these are the guys I'd target
Young corner, fast wide out, big tackle, productive DT, and LJ's best friend back on the roster opening holes behind a revamped line, that would dramatically alter the look of this team - and it's about time.
I'm not sure how much more Law / Surtain have in their tanks - with some youth already being served at corner I'd like to bring in someone who's also established and accustomed to winning.
Bowe is the #1 receiver on this team. We now need a #2 - Parker isn't it and Kennison is getting old. Webb has had his chance and can't seem to string it together. Berrian is a proven deep threat that could both help and benefit from Brodie Croyle's arm strength.
Starks is a mountain of a man that can play either tackle spot on the line. If we can use him to replace Turley, Terry, and any other number of people we've had at RT over the last few seasons, I'd call it a success.
Corey Williams has been playing lights out this year - imagining him playing beside Ron Edwards and Tank Tyler is enough to give me hope that we could one day have an excellent D-line again.
Tony Richardson - he should have never left. He was LJ's best friend on the team, a smart player, and a leader in the locker room. I'd like to see him sign a 2 year deal to be back in Red and Gold and let him mentor either Boomer or Owen Schmitt (if we're able to draft him).
