After the Cowboy's 21-17 loss to the rival New York Giants in a heated, emotional game, something we never saw coming, came. Terrell Owens began crying during the press conference after the game. "You guys can point the finger at him (Tony Romo), you can talk about the vacation, and if you do, it's reall unfair. It's really unfair. It's my teammate. It's my quarterback," said an emotional Owens. Owens came to the defense to Tony Romo after he was scrutinized for going on a vacation last week and after sealing the second Dallas Cowboys' playoff loss in two years with an interception in the last 10 seconds. When I saw this, I didn't know what to think about Owens. Throughout Owens's time in the NFL, he has been a showboat, often celebrating touchdowns with memorable moments (his run to mid-field against the Cowboys in 2000, his Sharpie signature celebration). He has also been known as a greedy player, who puts himself over the team, and often starts controversy within the locker room. Now, we all see this, an emotional Owens who seems to put Romo over himself, and goes out of his way to defend his QB's decisions and gameplay. I don't know how to respond to this latest act in an already bizzare superstar's career.
