If I could personify college campuses into the most beautiful, here are some of them that I've actually visited plus my commentary on each:
Princeton: the quintessential college campus
Gettysburg College: takes you back to antebellum America. Like you'd expect.
Lehigh University: Gothic buildings on a hilly and wooded campus. Very underrated.
Unversity of Florida: big, sprawling state university campus.
Rutgers: Old ivy, multi-campused, river-sided and multi-cultural
College of New Jersey: overrated
Monmouth College: underrated beauty
Ole Miss: old Southern sophistication without pretense. May be the prettiest campus you'll ever see
Auburn: red-bricks
Tennessee: damp and dark
LSU: moist and smelly
College of Charleston: mossy
Lafayette: college on a hill
Middlebury: small town Vermont beauty
F.S.U.: University of Florida with old South charm
Ohio State: big and burly
Bowling Green: vintage Brady Bunch
Franklin and Marshall: one of a million liberal arts Pennsylvania colleges
Penn State: Happy Valley
Indiana: poor man's Ohio State. You'll see more limestone than on an episode of the Flintstones.

I've been to UVA. Not bad. All my family basically graduated from there.
Bloomsburg sucks. Don't go there...

Ohio State is a dichotomy-- central campus with the Oval and Mirror Lake is classic-- beautiful. Ag Campus is standard and West Campus is utilitarian. Then there are the inexplicable-- Sodom and Gomorill, er, the Lincoln and Morrill Towers, and the Wexner Center (or as we referred to it-- "the Wexner Waste.") It's knid of cool once you get used to it, but it is SO out of place there...
And Bowling Green is a nice campus-- compact. It has to be-- the wind there is awful...
