My AFC East predictions are probably what you'd think. I have been thinking ever since the draft ended: AFC East. Who is our winner?

I must say it is no surprise if you see the New England Patriots celebrating a Super Bowl win. We all know the Pats are the clear winner yet again in the division. But year by year the Jets are getting better and creeping up on the Pats. But for now, Pats are champs. They made some great moves so far this offseason by trading for Randy Moss and drafting Brandon Meriwheter in the first round will help the secondary. Rodney Harrison's time is almost up, and I expect this season to be the one where Meriwether will get ready to take over for Harrison. Tom Brady is 29 and as good as ever. With all of this talent, plus coach Bill Belichick, it's hard not to believe the Pats will win it all.

In second place, the New York Jets will probably go 10-6. For once, Chad Pennington is not rehabbing an injury in the offseason. Jericho Cotchery is a great threat for the big play. The defense, led by Jonathan Vilma, is improving. First round pick Darell Revis will boost the secondary. Justin Miller is a monster kick returner. But the Jets don't have the talent the Pats do. They're motivated, but this isn't their year. But it's highly likely they'll win the wildcard.

Third place, I guess you could say the Buffalo Bills. They have a young and improving QB in JP Losman. I think trading Willis McGahhee was a good move. They have his replacement in first round pick Marshawn Lynch. Lynch is a great pick for the Bills. He should start right away. But they lost many key players on defense, and that will be the weakness. Losing the leader of the defense, Takeo Spikes, was hard. But the future is bright with second round pick Paul Posluzny. The defense is too weak for the Bills to make the playoffs.

The Miami Dolphins. They probably had the worst draft of any AFC team. Not choosing Brady Quinn was stupid, but instead of Quinn they chose Ted Ginn Jr. What?! This was probably the dumbest pick of day 1. The quarterback postion is in terrible condition. Rookie John Beck won't be much of a help. The Dolphins do have Defensive PLayer of the Year Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas.  In the offseason they added Joey Porter who will help the linebacking corps. The Dolphins are still expecting to get another Dan Marino to lead them to the Super Bowl. Come out of your dreams, Dolphins fans. It's not happening.
