- Shaun Alexaner will be healthy. Despite Reports that he's not %100 now, he will be ready when the season begins. He will rebound from a disappointing season last year and have another great season running behind Walter Jones.
- The young linebackers will have a great year. Last year, sophmores Lofa Tatapu and Leroy Hill struggled as most players in their second year do. This year, they will return to Pro-Bowl form. Along with Julian Peterson, they will be one of the most versatile linebacking corps in the league, with Lofa being the leader, Hill being the hard hitting run stopper, and Peterson being the outstanding versatile player he has always been.
- The Defensive line is much improved with the addition of Patrick Kearney at DE. He will dominate games with his speed. Despite being undersized, the line will be very quick. If Marcus Tubbs can come back from his injury problems of last year, he can be the space-eating run stopper that the Seahawks desperately needed last year.
- The Offensive Line will be better than last year. Although they failed to get any new additions, the line will be more unified this year. After the retirement of Robbie Tobeck, the imposing Chris Spencer will be the team's center for a long time. Injuries disrupted the chemistry of last years line, but this year they will be unified.
- Deion Branch will be fully assimilated into the offense. Now that Branch has a full season with the Hawks under his belt, he will be used to the West Coast offense. Also, Jackson is gone, and while some may say that his departure will hurt the Hawks, I disagree. He never could catch the ball particularly well. He is one of the key reasons that the Seahawks couldn't overcome the Steelers in the Superbowl 2 years ago. He dropped key passes. Branch is the clear #1 receiver now, with Engram, Burleson, and Hackett behind him.
