Last night the Cavs gave rookie Daniel Gibson the first start in his NBA career and he made the most of it.  18 pts in 36 minutes on 50% shooting.  Very, very nice Daniel.  And they beat the Raptors!  The Raptors always seem to give the Cavs a hard time and last night was no exception.  They got by on the strength of ten three-pointers, three from Daniel.  Teams are starting to play a lot of zone against the Cavs, and quite frankly, they should.  It's easier to keep Lebron out of the paint and creating for everyone else in a zone defense.  The remedy for such a defense?  Draining shots from the outside.  Last night it was no problem, but if they can do it on a consistent basis remains to be seen. They have some decent shooters on the roster in Jones, Marshall, and it looks like Gibson.  Not on this list, Eric Snow.  I hope when Larry Hughes comes back Daniel can steal some of his minutes, even his starting spot.  I know Coach Brown will not pull the trigger on that move, but it would sure be a great Christmas present to this fan.
