I'm bored, so what better way to kill the boredom than to write a usic blog? 

This edition is collaborations, meaning when 3 or more artists that don't ofter work together make a song.

Honestly, I don't have a lot to say leading in, so hopefully the music will make up for it.

First up,

Clint Black, Pam Tillis, Randy Travis, Marty Stuart, Emmy Lou Harris, Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt, Ricky Skaggs, Joe Diffie, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless and Earle Scruggs- Same Old Train

Awesome mix of bluegrass and Country, and nice mix of legends and newer artists of the time, all have their distinct voices and styles coming together, and at the end, you get to hear a solo from the greatest banjo player of all time, Earl Scruggs.

Next,

Ernest Tubb, Hank Williams Jr and Waylon Jennings- Leave Them Boys Alone

Product of the outlaw movement in Country music. Ernest Tubb was brought in as a singer from Hank Sr's era.  Jr says his wishe his dad would have been alive to sing the opening verse.  The title says it all.  Leave em alone.

Next,

Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and Jamey Johnson- Bad Angel

I wasn't a fan of Dierks Bentley until I got ahold of his Up On the Ridge Album.  I highly recommend it.  Miranda Lambert and Jamey Johnson are two of my current favorite singers, which drew me to this son, but Dierks wasn't toobad himself.  Another bluegrassy song, that I think you will enjoy.

Next,

Travis Tritt, Hank Williams Jr and Waylon Jennings- Outlaws Like Us

Made in the early 90's when Waylon and Bocephus were getting a little old, but it's still a great song.  It has the outlaw sound, and pretty much says the outlws of country music are here forever, and when when the Rock fad of the time fades, there will still be a show in Nasville for the outlaws.  Nice call out of Billy Ray Cyrusby Travis Tritt too.

Next,

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Johnny Cash, Ricky Skaggs, Chet Akins, Roy Auff, etc- Will the Circle be Unbroken

It's one of the few gospel songsI don't mind listenin to outsie of church.  A remake of the Carter Family classic.  his is my favorite version of the song, and I think it's cool to see so many artists come together like this.  he song is about a mother's funeral.

Next,

Hank Williams Jr, Big and Rich, Van Zandt and Gretchen Wilson- That's How They Do it in Dixie 

This is just a fun song.  Singin about those pretty little southern bells. 

Next,

Hank Williams Sr, Hank Williams Jr and Hank Williams III- Long Gone Daddy

Obviously, Hank Sr's parts were added by a cuts o his original version of the song, and mixed with Hank Jr and Hank 3, but I think tis is a cool song for all 3 of them.  You wouldn't think about it if you listened to Hank 3's current stuff, bu hearing him sing next to his gandpa's voice, and you realize they sound a lot alike.
