I've been an NBA fan my whole life. I started watching the NBA when Magic and Bird were having the best playoff games ever imagined. I cheered my heroes on. Loved Magic, Worthy, and Kareem. I pulled for Bird to beat his Airness so more Lakers and Celtics could be seen.

Naturally that carried over to me rooting for the western conference against the bad boys, and Jordan.

Fast forward to last season, and you have all sorts of great playoff performances. The Grizzlies were outstanding to watch. Rooting against Lebron was fun as well.

Well, the fun days are over. I've read most every article on the labor negotiation just hoping for a season to start. I'm tired of the rhetoric.  Why is every day another "it is not what we want" proposal?

Players, you got yourself there.  You blame the owners for throwing money around and make losing teams.  But at the same time, you deposit your check.  Now you claim you want to play.  Oh wait, you want to decertify.  Then sign the proposal, before it's too late.

Owners, you got yourself there too.  You blame the players for handcuffing you and
demanding money or a trade.  You try to build around your "franchise" player only to get slapped in the face with demands.  You signed the guy in the first place.  So you lock the players out to make them suffer.  You toy with them and try to get as much back from them as you lost at the last CBA.  Make a decent proposal, before it's too late.

I am sick and tired of the talks.  I don't care how smug Stern feels, or how much a tight wad Jordan is, or how "united" the players are.  Sign the freaking deal.  I'm sure there can always be more days to negotiate but I can't take it anymore.
