After seeing the giants beat the Bucs 'Boys and Packers i kind of notice something. Shockey isnt needed. Eli has been playing great without having to listening to Shockey complain about not getting the ball. Now Eli can look down field for Amani ( who also has been playing well after Shockey got hurt ) and Plaxico as well as rookie WR Steve Smith and rookie TE Kevin Boss who has done a tremendous job of taking Shockeys spot. So what to do well i say trade Shockey.
The Giants should take shockey and trade him. He definitly has value and theres tons of teams that would ask about him. The Giant should look to see if they can get a 1st RD pick or a 2nd RD pick. Or package him with there pick and move up into the draft. The Giants still do need help in the secondary so a CB or a S will be a nice fit. Moving up will give them the chance to pick up Kenny Phillips (MIAMI(FL)) who i personally think will be an amazing S for years to come or pick up Mike Jenkins from South Florida who could be as big of an impact as Aaron Ross was.
Either way i think its time to part with Shockey who im suprised to not have heard from through these play-off games.

I like Shockey. He has a lot of talet and I agree the Giants have not only not skipped a beat without him, they have improved and it has opened up their offense. Now, if Shockey hears of these rumors to get traded, he might just change his attitude about " give me the ball" which has plagued Manning the last four years. In this case, the Giants are well loaded with talent for the next five years. If he takes these rumors the way I think he will, he'll want to be traded to a team that will use his tremendous talents to their fullest. In turn, The Giants will benefit from better draft choices to address their current needs, ie. secondary who are now playing surprisingly well, linebacker, we're a little weak here, and wide receiver, get rid of sinorice moss.

Get rid of Shockey. Now Eli can look at the game pictures and listen to his coaches and play team ball without worrying about Shockey whining or Tiki complaining for that matter.
