John Elway was drafted by the Baltimore Colts who refused to play for which eventually led to Baltimore trading him to Denver. Elway also played a big part on getting Dan Reeves fired and bringing in Mike Shanahan to be the Bronco's head coach. Elway and Shanahan finally won 2 Super Bowls with a lot of help from Terrel Davis who was the leading rusher for those years. Shanahan was eventually fired and was replaced by Josh McDaniels which probably didn't sit well with John Elway.
Once Elway became executive vice president of football operations then McDaniels was out the door. Elway's sole purpose is to undo any decisions that McDaniels had done during his tenure. This especially so for Tim Tebow. Even if Tebow was leading the league in passing, Elway would try to jettisoned him. And all because McDaniels took over for Shanahan.
This is the same man that Dan Reeves once told to grow up.
