The way things are shaping up, Alabama and LSU will most likely rematch for the National Championship. Which is ridiculous.
For one thing, LSU ALREADY BEAT Alabama. What happens if LSU wins again? We'll think, "well yeah, LSU already proved they're the better team..."
And if Alabama wins, we'll never know if the correct team was crowned the champion, since LSU beat them earlier in the season.
We need some kind of playoff format.
Now the NCAA would disagree, saying that the BCS system makes the entire season suspenseful. The NCAA would tell you "every regular season game is a playoff game".
Thing is, it's not true. Think about it.
We're probably going to have 2 undefeated teams at the end of the season, LSU and Houston. So if every game is a playoff game, LSU and Houston would be the obvious choices for the Championship, being as they're the only 2 teams that would've won every "playoff" game.
But there's no chance Houston makes the Championship, and there's a 100% chance a team with a loss does make it.
So we can throw the "every game is a playoff game" argument out the window.
Now I'm not saying that Houston should be in the NC game, but I think at this point it's clear, once again, that the BCS system blows.
That is all.
