I think this might the first time in professional sports history that fans rather than the coach decided who was going to be the starter, in this case at QB.
I agree with ESPN's Stephen A Smith, I don't remember -ever in the NFL- a team changing everything to please or fit a player. They changed their system just to please Tim Tebow, there is something wrong with that.
I guess the fact that many Bronco fans want him to get the chance to start should be reason enough to change a multimillion dollar operation just to fit one player.
I watched a few NFL games last weekend and compared Tebow's ability to throw the long ball, the short ball and the third and long throw, you're not going to like this Tebow maniacs, I came away with a feeling that Mr. Tebow brings a pop gun to a gun fight.
A QB in the NFL needs more then the ability to run or a big heart to be taken seriously.
YOU GOT TO HAVE AN ARM FOLKS !
Can we agree on that.
This 7-1 run will run out soon, the reality of the NFL will hit the Broncos soon, hey maybe the Broncos can get a special pass to join the Southeastern conference.
As always this is just a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I thank God for that.
Enough said.

If a team has a unique offense that causes an opposing team to totally revamp their defense, how is that not an advantage?
Frankly I find it refreshing and good for the sport to upset the norm.

Just try to console a Jaguar fan today, they could have had him in the draft, he was already a local hero.
Of course they do have Blaine Gabbett.

This experiment won't last long..I feel bad for Tebow because they are creating a bubble for him, once they get him figured out and they will, he will get pounded...

hard to knock a 6-1 record. sure, we've all heard about his poor mechanics and how he will never amount to much as an NFL QB. and maybe it will all come crashing down on him and the broncos. but for now, he has a impressive record of wins and besides rodgers in GBay there isn't another QB in the NFL right now that has a 6-1 record the last 7 games. what is likely to happen over time is for tebow to prove to be another "average" QB in this league. wins a few here and there..... and loses a few here and there. we've got one of those QBs in dallas right now. never know what will happen when romo walks on the field.

haven't seen this before.... but give it some time. change can be a positive thing and as short lived as it may be, it has at least worked for denver the last 7 games. whatever changes they made, things were not working prior to all this change either. again, this may be a flash in the pan type thing. but i'd love for dallas to make some serious changes too and win 6 of their last 7. heck, i can't remember when dallas has put together a string of wins like denver has in the last decade!

Perhaps the author of this blog should worry more about the typos and grammatical errors in his own posts before trashing a proven winner.

I agree. Tebow is a great leader and a great athlete, but he is still a mediocre quarterback.

While I don't follow football much, I have seen several articles, and opinions about Tebow and at this point in the season the record speaks for itself.
Why wouldn't you change the offense to fit your QB's play style? Denver is winning using a different play style than just about anyone else in the league, but in the end a W is still a W and that's what matters. Yes the other teams will change their defensive style to stop Tebow, but that is what both teams are supposed to do, score points on offense and stop the other team from scoring on defense.

They did not change a system to fit Tim Tebow. Hello? John Fox was smart enough to realize that Tim Tebow was limited in what he could do. So he adjusted scheme to fir the personnel.
That's what smart coaches do. Dumb coaches... tries to do things he wants to do with wholly inadequate personnel... ala Mike Martz the knucklehead. He must be imagining that Calab Hanie is Cutler.

I shall answer your question with a question. Have you ever seen a pro team not build their playcalling around the skillsets and talents of the players they have instead of the ones they wish they had?
The idea that the Broncos should have kept their playbook the same regardless of who's under center is ridiculous.
Quarterback is the most important position on the field, and they are not 'one size fits all' anymore. Tim Tebow has a different set of skills than Kyle Orton. In what world would it be logical for the offensive coordinator to then continue to use an offensive scheme based around the abilities of the previous guy?
That would be like having Michael Vick go down from injury and expecting Matt Hasselbeck to step in and be a scrambling threat.
As a coach, you have to be able to adjust according to the assets you have on the field. Refusal to do so is bull-headed and stupid.

Liar. You are on record as saying you never thought he deserved to be starting. According to you he should be a graduate assistant at Florida.
Your credibility is fucked.
I do look forward to your next Tebow thread.
Keep the FAITH!
