So apparently Jim Brown is pissed off that Tiger didn't speak up about the "lynch" comment on the Golf Channel. As an African-American, I don't need Tiger Woods to speak for me. I don't want him to speak for me. It was a stupid, ignorant and inherently racist comment, but I can figure that out on my own; I don't need Tiger or any other famous black person to inform me of that fact. I also don't need Jim Brown telling another black person how to represent. This is the same mentality that causes grandstanders like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to jump into every little piddling fray involving race; it cheapens the incidents that have much more serious implications. The public outcry that ensued after the comment ought to inform those who are still living in the Antebellum period that racism is alive and well and won't be tolerated in public. That dumb bizzo Kelly Tilghman needs to take some sensitivity training classes and use her head before speaking, but she doesn't need to be fired as Sharpton suggested. Sharpton needs to be fired as the self-appointed spokesperson for African-Americans.

good blog...agree completely...white or black i don't need a celebrity to sound off on a racist comment for the entire population of that race...

I hate to say it, because Jim Brown is the best running back ever, but I agree with you.

Interesting.. .and refreshing.... quite a novel twist to life that people might be able to think for themselves and don't need someone else to do their thinking for them. As funny and asintelligent that Sharpton can be, he can also be very annoying and at times just wrong but will never, ever, admit to being wrong. Must be tough always being right for Reverend Al.
