All year I've been hearing about the selected stars of College Basketball. Stars like Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, Eric Gordon of Indiana, DeMarcus Beasley of Kansas St., as well as Kevin Love of UCLA but I did my own scouting and discovered some players that maybe under the radar but really shouldn't be.

First is Patrick Patterson of Kentucky. He is averaging 16.8 pts, 8.0 rebs and almost 2 blocks a game (1.5). He has helped Kentucky beat Vanderbilt and Tennessee.  He has shown that he can fill the gap and defend the paint perfectly. He has given that sort of presence that teams worry about and has helped Kentucky rebound from there horrific start.

Another player that caught my eye is Damion James of Texas. He has 3 20pt games in the past 5 games. He is quietly averaging 14.0 pts, 11.0pts and is shooting 49.5% from the field but when he's playing on a team that has D.J. Augustine and A.J. Abrams its hard to shine but I believe he soon enough he will show more and start getting the attention he deserves.

Also Jonny Flynn out of Syracuse. He is averaging 15.4 pts, 5.2 ast and is shooting 47.5% witch is tremendous for a guard of his size. I think he has a chance to be a wonderful player. He will help Syracuse make noise in the Big East tournament and maybe in March Madness.

Lastly Devon Jefferson out of USC. This kid is flat out a star in the making. Mark my words; he will be a great player in the NBA. His height and athleticism gives him an advantage against defenders every night. He's averaging 13.1 pts, 5.9 rebs and is shooting 57.5% from the field. I mean come on I know O.J. Mayo is good but this guy is better in many aspects. I hope Jefferson stays another year before entering the draft b/c next year he will definitely be a top 10 pick.

I believe these guys need to be noticed more because they are going to shine one day and everyone will be jumping on their ban wagon but they can just join me b/c I am already on it.

If Kentucky played better at the beginning of the season you would have heard more about Patterson.

Also, you should check out Nick Calathes at Florida. He's a freshman and he's lighting it up.
