The only problem I have with your list Pond is 4. Remember #14 performance BEFORE the chase? yes I do, but as it was proven this year it is the performance DURING the Chase that matters. This just to go and show you how marginalized the first 26 races of the year have really become. Why not just cut the season to 10 races and be done with it all.

yep. considered that one. decided, in my humble opinion, the chase race performance factor was more the driver than the CC, and toss in a bit of luck on the fuel mileage gambles.

wondering if anyone can figure out #8

December 12, 2011  09:10 AM ET

Can't agree with #10 The reason for the swap is Gibbs claims that TRD has a superior R&D Dept. and much more money than he does for engine work.

#8 no idea

I give up what's that about? Nothing in there about Smoke? You don't think he's going to do well next year?

10 of 17 wins in PA and VA.

Same as #9.. Addington and Smoke will need this year to "come together"

Denny wins primarily in Pennsylvania (Pocono) and Virginia (Richmond and Martinsville). Everywhere else he's regulated to an also-ran.

LOL....all good reasons.....and no, I did not get #8 eithor.

QUOTE(#13):

#1 should be. "Gibbs lost control after Tony left. his team of Children have taken over".
Gibbs needs to get a grip on his drivers, he has waited way too long to put his foot up some proverbial ass looking for improvement.
Don't look for the 3 Stooges to get too far this next season.

Lost control? With the exception of a few boneheaded incidents from 1 driver how has Gibbs lost control of the other 2?

Lagano isn't even enough of a factor to tell whether he has "lost control" or just Stale Bread.

Hamlin had a meltdown late last year and it rolled over to this year, same thing happened to Carl Edwards, Mark Martin, and just about every other driver who finished second to JJ in the championship points. Again how is that "lost control".

Not a JGR fan, but your comment is ridiculous!
