After watching Stephen McGee play QB for Dallas Saturday, I truely thing Dallas needs to go on and spend a draft pick on a Quarterback next April. It's not just McGee's performance on the field but by drafting a QB you can create competition at that position. There is no doubt McGee strugled, some of it was his fault and some was not. The out patterns to Bryant look like the ball would never get there and with the deep ball, they looked to be underthrown all but one and that was where he overthrew Austin. Maybe the way McGee had been throwing it Austin may have slowed up not thinking he could get the ball there anyway. With Romo's age and not being sure if McGee is the man April will be the time to draft one and probably get a good one to become the next starter. Right now there is a big drop off from Romo to the next guy. I think Jon Kitna did great last year and even this year when called upon in the 49ers game, when he made that perfect throw to Austin for a TD in the corner of the endzone, and to me that was the pass that won the game that day on 3rd an 13. You could say that this has been Romo's best year, even better than 2007 and 2009, it's just the mistakes he has made this year were at the most critical times of the game. Just one or two mistakes less they are already division champs. With one win at the Meadowlands next Saturday all the mistakes could be erased, then winning a playoff game would make the off season a lot better for Tony. In all honesty, I am worried about his hand. It's going to come down to taking snaps under center which he doesn't do a lot of, then there is gripping the ball so get well Tony and go out there and play your Butt off and win the NFC East.

it is time for dallas to begin looking for a potential QB to step in for romo when he's hurt or to provide a little competition. however, romo probably wouldn't have made the difference against philly and dallas is looking at a huge mountain to get over in beating NY on sunday. dallas has lost 3 of the last 4..... their poor december play continuing year after year and if they can't beat split with philly or beat NY at home, the odds are stacked against them to go to NY and take that final game when the giants and eli seem to be peaking right now.

I like your perspective. I couldn't have said it any better my self. In the begining I picked the Giants to win that division at 11 and 5 Philly second at 10 and 6 and I said the Cowboys will tie w/ Washington w/ the Cowboys going 8 and 8 or maybe 9 and 7. If Philly had of got into the playoffs they would have been a tough out. I will be picking them next year to win the east.
