Well, Raider Nation, we're still in it. With a Denver loss and a win over the Chargers, the Raiders could make the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 season.
There were several key plays in this game to keep the season alive.
Matt Giordano's interception of Orton in the end zone with 3 minutes left in the 2nd quarter kept the Chiefs from scoring - had they scored either a TD or a FG there, there'd be no overtime needed.
Richard Seymour blocked a 49 yard FG attempt as time ran out in the first half and blocked another 49 yarder again as time ran out at the end of regulation. HUGE plays which obviously were game changers.
Denarius Moore caught a 61 yard touchdown pass to give the Raiders the lead in the third quarter. A nice momentum shift.
Darrius Heyward-Bey caught a 53 yeard pass to set up the field goal in OT.
What week 17 will bring is anyone's guess. This season has been a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, highs and lows. But for today, hope is still alive.

Wish it didn't require so much help to get the #6 seed. In addition to Denver winning vs the Chiefs, we'd also need Cinci & Tennessee both to lose OR a Cinci loss & Jets win.

I know that. It's the first line of the blog...
I'm talking about getting a #6 (wildcard) vs #4 (division winner) seed...

It never really is. But there's always room for good luck and a smile from the football Gods.

DJ, one thing this season should have proven is that no game is easy. The Raiders have lost several games that they should have won easily according to you.
Let's just keep the hopes up without using prior games to determine how they will play this time around. Because you know San Diego would LOVE to be a spoiler.

Okay... But I seem to remember many comments for a few other games that didn't turn out the way you thought they would.
No matter. The most important game is Sunday. And hopefully it turns out the way we'd like it to.
