This Season, David Akers was more of an MVP for his respected team than Carson Palmer was for his. IMO Akers has out produced Palmer and was more efficient (166 pts/84.6 % - 91 pts/80.5 %). Akers was also more instrumental in keeping the 49ers in the game, his leg alone won games for the team. Palmer on the otherhand, lost games for the Raiders by giving the ball away at crucial times (16 Ints).

David Akers, age 37, 5' 10", 200 lbs

Carson Palmer, age 32, 6' 5", 236 lbs

Who had the MVP Season between Akers and Palmer? You make the call....

Palmer has good feet action, he could have been a great kicker IMO.
