After seeing David Akers set a franchise record for points in a season, I just hope our coach saw what happens when you settle for 3 points instead of trying for 7. I've been irritated by this mentality all year.

Is he a better coach than single cell? Of course he is. But he still plays conservatively in the red zone. This is what happened to Stanford last night. After their kicker blew two Fg's in the game, what did they do in overtime? Didn't even try to score a TD! And this in a game in which the Cardinal defense was unable to stop any OSU wideouts. Even if they had scored a TD in OT, OSU probably would have scored on their possession, meaning a second OT.

So in 2 weeks SF is probably going to play New Orleans. Think they can put some points up? Alex Smith is allowed to throw the ball in the middle of the field, but once the team gets in the red zone Harbaugh & Roman go all Jimmy Raye: 3 runs up the middle. Whats up with that?

Yeah, the 49er WR's aren't that great, although Crabs is improving. But you have to try. This team never throws in the end zone. That needs to change.
