FanNation runs like... well, it runs poorly, to put it mildly. For the
longest time the site was being overrun with spam, and it appeared that
moderators had little interest in curbing the amount of free advertising
that appeared within threads (that's how it seemed, anyway). Some
folks, who sounded like they were knowledgable about how sites like FN
were put together and maintained, stated that the solution to the
unwanted advertising was fairly simple, but apparently not worth the
trouble. Well now it seems they've come up with a solution to the spam
problem that has made the site too difficult to use. It's a shame, because part of the fun
for me has been interacting with folks during NFL games.
Not anymore.
Posting,
reposting, cutting and pasting and refreshing, only to find a comment
double-posted, or posted 7 minutes after it was submitted is tiresome,
to say the least.
It was almost better when the spam was everywhere...
At least I still have the games on TV.
