Can you imagine being a member of the team going to the Super Bowl? There you are in Indy, taking it all in, practicing, going to meetings, living the dream. Then you get called down to see the Coach on the day before the big game and he tells you you've been cut.

Well, that's what happened to Tiquan Underwood last night. He's the guy with the "Kid 'n' Play" haircut I told you about. He's also the guy Brady and O'Brien quarreled about in that sideline blow up during the game.

Man, to come so far just to be released the day before the big game. I would sink into a depression that I would never climb out of.

The good news in all this is that if the Pats win he will get a full share of the dough....$88K, he will also get a ring....not bad for not being on the team anymore, and he took the release well and wished the best for the team....classy!

I hadn't heard or read any of that. Thanks for posting it. Now I don't feel so bad for him.

I was really glad to hear this. And he was extra classy in his response to being cut. Whatever it takes to win! The extra DE is apparently necessary.

Same here, I wasn't too surprised at the re-signing, maybe that's why he didn't feel bad or say something bad, because he already knew they would re-sign him....

I think DJ got the axe, albeit temporarily.

Paper says Brandon Lloyd is free agent that the Pats might be targeting. If Ocho stays, he'll probably be the fifth option at best. I think they'll be saying "Adios" to Ochocinco.

That has to be a good sign, I believe they were looking at Lloyd last year also....Plus Gronk had his surgery Friday for his ankle and thinks he'll be ready for OTAs
