NASCAR HOF, one would assume, is a facility in recognition of a sport and its significant participants. HD Museum (been there) is a history, primarily, of a product.

That said, both are expected to be able to support their own expenses, hence the admission fees

Spring break is year round down here. It was 74 degrees at 8 A.M. today.

The taxpayer gets it in the neck for most of these deals. We have three NFL teams in Florida, all three get tax breaks, yet they black out games locally. One politician is pushing for a ban on blackouts if they accept ANY taxpayer money. Don't get me started on the Marlins, they couldn't draw flies on a day they gave away tacos and they get millions for a ball park.

Don't get me started on the outrageous baseball salaries, for a game that might require a total of ten minutes of exersion for seven of nine players
