WBC heavyweight titlist "Dr. Iron Fist" Vitali Klitschko will defend his crown against 9-1 underdog Dereck Chisora Saturday night at Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany.
Chisora (15-2, 10 KOs), a former British heavyweight titleholder who was born in Zimbabwe, has lost two of his past three fights.
Conversely, the elder Klitschko (43-2, 38 KOs), who has never been involved in a prizefight that he wasn't winning at the end on the scorecards, has emerged victorious in 11 consecutive bouts.
"Dr. Iron Fist" will inevitably knockout the green Zimbabwean-born British prizefighter within six rounds next weekend.
Roger "Pit" Perron is a venerable boxing trainer from Brockton (Mass.) who now works with Mike and Rich Cappiello at their gym, Cappiello Brothers Boxing and Training.
"Chisora's in over his head against Klitschko," said Perron, 75, who worked with International Boxing Hall of Famer Marvelous Marvin Hagler. "He can't mess with that monster."
The massive and indomitable Ukrainian told Sky Sports in September that he intends to hang-up his gloves in the very near future.
"I am not ready to give a clear answer, [but there is] not long left. But not sure how many fights - two, three, five," said Klitschko, 40.
Nevertheless, the elder Klitschko brother has emphatically stated his desire to render unconscious blowhard bloke, and former WBA heavyweight champion, David "The Hayemaker" Haye.
Haye (25-2, 23 KOs), a 31-year-old erstwhile unified cruiserweight champ who relinquished his crowns to emulate the heavyweight accomplishments of Evander Holyfield, retired in October.
"David Haye can be strong again," Vitali told ESPN.com Saturday. "He can be the world champion again. He can fight me, the oldest and weakest of the Klitschko brothers. Haye has a chance to get back into the game. I don't understand why money is his only motivation."
Klitschko, also an accomplished kickboxer who amassed a sterling mark of 34-1 with 22 knockouts, continued to verbally shred Haye.
"I wanted to fight him last time but I flipped a coin with Wladimir and he won. I was happy when Wladimir beat Haye because it brought all the heavyweight title belts into our family," said Klitschko, whose younger brother, Wladimir, utterly embarrassed "The Hayemaker" en route to earning a lopsided unanimous decision triumph in July. "But I was also a bit upset because, after all the bad words he used against us, I wanted to beat him up. He has no excuses not to fight me now."
Despite his advanced knowledge of The Sweet Science and regardless of his lagging pedigree, Perron bizarrely contends that Haye was an adequate prizefighter.
"Haye was not a bad fighter," said Perron. "But, he's in over his head with Vitali Klitschko."
Vitali (43-2, 38 KOs), who has never been involved in a bout that he wasn't winning at the end on the scorecards, is an extremely tough fighter and his ring prowess cannot be questioned.
In April 2000, "Dr. Iron Fist" easily outclassed Chris Byrd (40-6-1, 22 KOs) for nine rounds before he was forced to quit on his stool due to a torn rotator cuff that he developed during the clash.
In June 2003, Vitali was beating Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KOs), one of the greatest heavyweight champions ever, after six rounds of captivating action.
Disappointingly, but justifiably, the referee halted the contest prior to the start of round seven and awarded Lewis the victory due to a drastically severe gash that had opened over Vitali's left eye.
Hence, Vitali Klitschko has never been genuinely trumped as a pro.
Dereck Chisora has virtually no chance to become the first man to truly overcome Klitschko and Haye is far too cowardly to even give "Dr. Iron Fist" a scare.
If David Haye somehow manages to muster a granule of testicular fortitude and throw fists with Vitali Klitschko, "Dr. Iron Fist" will simply "beat him up."
