I hate that I miss so many of the NBA's great matchups these days. Its either a choice of sleep or stay up and watch a game, and sleep wins out. I know the NBA is hurting, especially this time of year, with millions of us waiting to check out the scores in the AM. I wonder how, despite the parity the salary cap was suppose to bring, things got so lopsided with the West being so deep and strong. I wonder if the better players prefer the nicer weather and lifestyles out West.
I am not sure there is anything the NBA can really do, short of fixing the draft so that the Knicks get Kevin Durant AND Odem in the draft ( and I believe some believe that happened with Ewing). Something needs to change, maybe better owners and GMs. Danny Ainge is killing the Celts, and Isaiah has improved the Knicks but not enough to make them relevant. I just home that sometime soon the East catches up with the west, cause I am tired of missing out on the preimer games, or my sleep.

Maybe NY will get Ewing Jr. in the future the same way. I agree with your assessment of players wanting to play in the west. The Pacers have the problem of being in the midwest and that is not appealing to anyone unless they grew up there. They used to deal with it by playing team ball. Now they are a disaster.
