Welcome to the path to basketball enlightenment. I am your guru Chase Ruttig. The NFL playoff bye week put the spotlight on an amazing week of basketball action, there was the amazing NBA on ABC double header and tonights Raptor Wizard game was exciting. so here is the gospel according to Chase.

The Boston Celtics are headed for a turbulent second half if the weekend was any indication. The Celts lost to the Magic in an amazing matinee game on network tv. Ray Allen could not find his touch, but did make a clutch trey to tie it up with 12 ticks left, but the Magic just would not die. Hedo Turkolou sunk a game winning trey as time expired to give the Magic a statement win. at this point any win against the Celts is a statement win. To give the Celts credit they did come back from 16 down in the third, and from 8 down in the dying seconds, if KG doesn't recover fast the Celts could start slipping. Then again the celts made quick work of the Heat without KG and Jesus Shuttlesworth tonight.

The second game of ABC's Sunday doubleheader was even more compelling than the early game. It was Kobe-Lebron 2 and they did not dissapoint as the Lakers and Cavs went punch for punch until after a errant inbound pass was recovered and thrown to Kobe for a easy bank in was missed and the Cavs won the second and likely final matchup of the year for the NBA's two best players. In my opinion Kobe should be looking over his shoulder because LeBron is closing in quick as being the NBA's premier player.

Now for some rumours

Jason Kidd wants out of Jersey(suprise). JKidd wants out of Jersey for the third time in three years which makes him a dynasty for demanding trades. If I were the Nets I'd keep him since he obviously makes everyone around him better and I'd dump VC to get some more talent or chemestry into Jersey. since the big 3 is not cutting it.

Damon Mighty Mouse Stoudamire has been bought out by the Grizz and wants to play for the Celts which is no suprise since everyone wants to play for them, but a suprise team is in the mix. The team that drafted him, the Toronto Raptors. this would be a great fit considering TJ ford has been sidelined since a liitle rook named Al Horford gave him a facelift. Damon reportedly wants to end his career where it started or win a title(Celts). Stay posted for an update.

Speaking of unlikely reunions Chris Webber has reunited to the team that drafted him and also the team he demanded to trade him. That is right, CWebb has decided to reunite with the Golden State Warriors and Don Nelson. This will be a good fit for the young run and gun Warriors who lack an inside presence. Although I have my doubts Webber can run with the Warriors, he hasn't played since the Pistons lost to the Cavs lost in the Eastern Conference Finals and I perdict this will be his last year.

In Raptor news the Raps lost in OT to the Agent Zero and Caron Butler-less Wizards in OT tonight. they finish of the home and home tommorow in Toronto.

My MVP of the week is Hedo Turkolgu

You are enligthened have a goodnight and a plesant tommorow.

The Kings are an anomoly, they are never truly healthy, and until they all get healthy they have little chance to make the playoffs
