Do not get me wrong- I like this Bulls team a lot. It is just going to be tough to get past Miami with only one superstar.
I think the Bulls should make really good offer for Dwight Howard. We have the pieces and the need and I know it would hurt Bulls fans to trade a passionate player like Noah but sometimes you have to make unpopular moves.
The Bulls have some very good assets. The BobKitties pick is one of them obviously. That could be a top 5 pick next year! That would help Orlando so much more then a player could. Add in Noah- a great defensive big man with a lot of heart who would be going back to his home state to play. I think trading Noah anywhere but Orlando he would not be happy but he did play college ball at Florida so he might like going home.
Taj Gibson is also a tough power forward with a good shooting touch. Maybe the Bulls even throw their own first rounder in their too.
The Bulls 1st Rounder, The BobCats 1st rounder, Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah for Dwight Howard?
what other deal could possilby be better then that for Orlando for the long term? I would like to see anyone elses ideas and if they think this is realistic at all.
Rose, Dwight and Deng would be a very good big 3 of our own!!!

Gotta keep Deng. Absolutely have too.

FYI - the "BobKitties pick" is lottery protected. It cannot be top five next year. It's top 14 protected in 2012, top 12 protected in 2013, top 10 in 2014, top 8 in 2015. The earliest it becomes unrestricted is 2016.

Word, brother. He is the best playmaker beside Rose on the Bulls.

Giving up Taj, Noah, and 2 first rounders might be too much. Give them Boozer, Noah, Watson and Bulls pick....we'll keep Taj and Bobkitties pick. We're going to have to take Hedo Turkosuckfest along with Howard. Might have to take Nelson, too, which is fine to back up Rose.

Murph- I would not be opposed to that deal I just do not think that the Magic want Boozer's bad contract as soon as they would get rid of Turk's. I do not know why Howard is so opposed to going to Chi but if he does not want to come that is fine. We will find a way.

Agree about Boozer's contract. I like Boozer, but the Magic apparently seem to think that if they don't keep Howard, they may be best suited letting him walk, and using that money to go after someone else. That mindset lends to me to believe that they're not overly interested in taking on another crappy contract. That being said, Otis Smith as a complete moron, and I fully expect him to take the Magic down the worst road possible, whatever that may be. And yes, I'm a Magic fan.

It's going to take more then that:
You give up anyone not named Derrick Rose.
Would have to include Noah and as much as i would hate to see Deng go; he would probably have to be included because they are not going to take Boozer. So Deng, Noah, Bobcats 1st, Bulls 1st and possibly another player to match salaries up.
People might say that's too much...i say BS. Rose and DH are in the top 5 of players you would want to build a team around, if you can get both on 1 team you do that. It won't make them any worse this year and it will set them up better in the future. Deng is the glue, but DH is a better offensive threat and the Defensive Player of the Year perennial candidate. I love the current Bulls roster and would rather win 1-2 titles with this cast then 3-4 if meant gutting the roster. But if the Bulls have any shot they need to make a deal (and yes DH has said he will play in Chi).
I don't see him being traded though, i think he walks and joins DW in Dallas.

I hope if Dwight does not end up in Chi he goes to Dallas and gets out of the East....although I really hope the Magic at least get something for him so he does not totally screw them over.
Lets just all agree that he is not going to the Lakers unless they offer Bynum AND Gasol. Even though I dont know if he wants to go there and be the only good player on the team besides Kobe who is not as young as he used to be.
