In a riveting TD between Froggie and CassiRoy, one of my favorite TV shows of all time is mentioned in the comments. Shout out to you Displaced Texan and Schad!
That TV show is "Saved By The Bell." No, I'm not kidding. I watched that show every day after school, unless I had practice (and I usually did). That left me to re-runs on the weekends, but I don't know if I ever missed an episode.
Now if you're thinking "Dude watched that show and admits it?" Well suck one. I bet you've watched something lame. You probably watch The Bachelor or Jersey Shore. At least I watched a bad show as a kid... you're an adult.
If you're thinking "What does this have to do with sports?" then I say that AC Slater was a God when it came to wrestling and Zach Morris played several sports and dated a cheerleader (Kelly Kapowski).
If you're thinking that Tiffani Thiessen is hot... well good for you. She is. She's on a show called "White Collar" now, on the USA network. It's really quite good.
And who can forget our favorite "Showgirl" Elizabeth Burkley?
Anyway...
I even watched some of the College Years (once the kids were grown up). There was this storyline that had Kelly & Zach breaking up, because Kelly started dating one of her teachers. Professor Lasky was his name. I remember that more than anything, because I was infuriated that she ditched Zach for that older perv. In fact, to this day... I still hate Laskey. Any TV show or bit part I see him in, I say "Lasky" and scowl at the TV. Kind of like Seinfeld and "Newman." Lasky was played by Patrick Fabian, who has had quite a few minor TV roles (Desperate Housewives, CSI & Bones) and a starring role in the movie "The Last Exorcism." I hated that guy so much as a 15 year old, I still hate him now that I'm in my early 30's. It's kind of funny how much your childhood can shape the way you think as an adult, even in trivial matters such as this.
So go ahead and let me know what your embarassing vice was a kid. Play with My Little Pony instead of GI Joe? Dress up as a princess instead of He-Man? Did you watch Teddy Ruxpin or Care Bears?

Outlaw, buddy, I love the harmonies and the cd after the W brouhaha "Taking the Long Road" to my mind was borderline masterpiece. Maybe they just needed a little anger to turn out something classic. As for Shania? Great voice and Mutt Lang may be an idiot on a personal level the man knows how to craft songs in the studio

I used to be a pediatric nurse at Texas Children's Hospital, got hooked on Saved by the Bell cause all of the little teeny boppers would watch it together in the afternoons along with........ dare I say it "the new MIckey Mouse Club" terrible show but the kids absolutely loved it
