If the San Francisco 49'ers are in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes and if I were in Peyton Mannings shoes I'd leave my heart in San Francisco . I'm a big Peyton Manning fan because here's a guy that never had a defense that could keep a lead for him most of his career in Indy no matter how many points he put on the score board . Yet when Jim Irsay did one of the smartest things an owner could do by hiring Tony Dungy as his head coach .They finally did what more than half the NFL teams haven't done and that is win a Super Bowl . Together they put Indiana on the map . Peyton proved he was the X-factor for the Colts last year when they went 2-14  in his absence . I've seen the genius of Peyton at work from the day the Colts drafted him until they recently parted ways . Nine consecutive winning seasons , only one great reciever to play with in Marvin Harrison when they won a SB together . Two great running backs in Edrin James and Marshall Faulk that he didn't win with but they were exciting and gave the fans alot to cheer about . Now he has a chance to play for a former Colts quarterback in Harbaugh , a great young defensive team , a good running back in Gore , a pretty good recieving core , and an organization with a winning tradition . I know he played his college football in Tennesee but if he's going to take a chance on his health from the neck surgery and want to win another Super Bowl it's a no-brainer the San Francisco 49'ers is the choice . He has nothing else to prove but to win another title with a team that is the perfect fit for Peyton . As a huge Colts fan and Peyton Manning fan it's the city by the bay the right choice just make it Peyton .

I couldn't agree less. It was never a perfect fit, Manning would never have had the control he's used to in SF.

Let's see if Manning can even play after 3 neck surgeries. (I seriously doubt his doctor thinks he should play). If so he helps the 49ers tremendously, given the limited passing game of Alex Smith.

Manning will have control where ever he goes he's Peyton Manning not Tim Tebow . John Elway will not be second guessing whether or not he should have sign PM . Denver got my man and that's a shame the 49ers could win it all with Manning .
