Michael Jordan is the greatest shoe salesman of all time . There has never been an athlete in any sport that could sell their signature brand shoes like Michael Jordan . There have been star players before him and after such as Dr J , Magic , and Bird , converse allstars shoe salesmen Lebron , Wade , Durant , Nike guys and combine they don't come close to MJ's numbers in shoe sales then or now . Mars Blackmon once asked is it the shoes ? Well I guess America can say it loud and clear yes it is the shoes . It's amazing how a guy with very little personality could be such a great shoe salesman and for that matter an underwear salesman . Can anybody tell me why a guy who only won 6 NBA titles compared to 11 by Bill Russell . Who scored 50 points 37 times in his career , compared to Wilt Chamberlain scoring 50 or more points a game 45 times in one year 1962 and was the most accurate shooter ever I won't even get into rebounds , assist , or block shots so it won't offend any Jordan fans . Why is MJ so good at selling shoes ? Prices range from $150 to $300 dollars what is it about the shoe that make people line up in the wee hours of the morning to spend their hard earned money not to mention hurt another human being for them . Is there gold in them ? Somebody please tell me because if you're convincing enough I just might go out and buy a pair .

The reason is right under your nose and its the reason that you don't want to hear. Because he was the greatest basketballer ever!! Plain and simple. On top of that Jordan (no personality according to you) was charismatic. People got starstruck watching him play on TV. People I knew who were not sports fans (including women) would take in the occasional bulls game because of Jordan... People who watched Wilt and Bill play will openly admit that Jordan brought a certain something to the game when he was on the court.

To top it off, Jordan made it LOOK good! He was poetry in motion and had the ability to strike a pose when dunking/shooting/dribbling....... Who wouldn't want his shoe... Ever heard the saying 'like Mike'? It does not refer to Jackson, Tyson or Johnson but the mercurial Michael Jordan. Nuff sed...

Jordan was media made until the league found out he was a heavy gambler who probably bet on Bulls games and no telling what else . Greatness is measured by many things was he the greatest winner ever , no Bill Russell was the greatest winner 11 titles eight in a row . Was he the greatest scorer and rebounder ever no and no is the answer . Did he make his Bulls team before Pippen and Grant better no he made the playoffs wit a 31-51 record one year and lost to Bird and the Celtics . How many NBA records does he hold ? Is it anywhere near 72 ? Wilt and Russell were the giants of the game playing against each other before sell-out crowds and dominated the game like no team before them or after them . I'll say it one more time if you don't know about that era of talent you didn't see them play how can you comment on them . Jordan is the greatest Shoe salesman ever you can't take that away from him .
