I was recently portrayed on YouTube by some of my dear blogers from the Si.com network site FanNation as the idiot of the year, but after reading a quote from Mike Tannenbaum I'll will step down and give up the crown.

The quote: "He is our backup quarterback. That's how we're listing him. That's how we're  going to carry him on our roster. That could be more like, I'd say, a subtle  tiebreaker, knowing he has unique skill sets and athleticism. In terms of how  we're looking at our strategy, he's clearly at quarterback for us and that's how  we're listing him."

I'm a fan with an opinion, nothing more or nothing less, I'm  not an ex-jock or an expert football analyst, again I'm just a fan with an opinion so I'm going to interpret that statement  as a fan who has been fallowing this DISMANTLING of Mark Sanchez.

Is there anyone in the the world who thinks that Ryan and Tannenbaum got Tim Tebow to New York and displayed him to the media as the catch of the century just to make him a second string back or a situational player.

How many second string QB (and a mediocre one at that) can get a media tour like the Jets prepared for Tim Tebow.

Let me answer that for you . NONE period.

The more I read the quote the more I'm certain that Mark Sanchez is toast as a Jets QB, lets take it line by line:

 "He is our backup quarterback. That's how we're listing him. That's how we're  going to carry him on our roster...."

Listing him as a back up means nothing, Mr. Tannenbaum should of said that Mark Sanchez is his starting QB, period, in my opinion he didn't say that because he already knows his starting QB is Tim Tebow.

Lets continue.

"...... In terms of how  we're looking at our strategy, he's clearly at quarterback for us and that's how  we're listing him."

Mr. Tannenbaum must be looking at a new strategy, I assume a custom fit to Tim's run Tebow run (and a few throws) talent, maybe they got the Broncos old playbook.

I understand Mr. Tannenbaum graduated C  laude so maybe he feels he is smarter than the average bear, he may also believe that waging the dog will lead us into beliving that Tebow did not get hired to be the starting QB for the New York Jets.

I want to be fair with Mr. Tannenbaum, he may really believe what he is saying, if he does, he may be the only one in the country to do so.

Enough said.
