It all had to happen, somebody???the Warriors could not continue with the current team that they had so they had to break it up. Trading their leading scorer for the past four years to the Milwaukee Bucks was necessary as the current roster was too flawed for Golden State to go anywhere. No basketball can function with a roster just full of perimeter players and a starting backcourt with two guards who only knew how to facilitate an offense for themselves. Granted, there is an inherent rick sending Monta Ellis and up and coming big man Ekpe Udoh to the Bucks for an over the hill Stephen Jackson and an Andrew Bogut who has never been the same since he broke his arm two seasons ago. However, something needed to be done and for the Warriors to move forward because they were not going anywhere with the team it had now.

Gone is the ???small ball??? approach that has dominated much of the Warriors??? offensive schemes where as many as four guards would be on the court at the same time with little or no emphasis on post play. It was all just run and gun with little or no ball movement leaving the Warriors open to long rebounds and getting outscored in transition. Golden State???s idea of defense was simply to outrun and outscore the opponent which never really succeeded; however, now with the acquisition of last season???s league leading shot blocker, Andrew Bogut, the Warriors have become a much more tougher team on the defensive end, especially in the paint. Granted, Bogut has been out for the season due to surgery, but once he comes back, the Warriors will finally have that interior presence that have lacked for close to twenty years. Even if he is not 100% come next season, Bogut???s presence still makes the Warriors so much better as a team just by his defense and rebounding alone.
