One thing I've noticed the past 2 games against the Bulls, is that the Pistons defense is off. I know you are saying "No, sh**!". But what I mean is if you watch they are all over the place chasing the Bulls all over the floor. Normally the defense has a very circular flow each player is moving in arcs and able to step up and help defend or flow back to their own man. There is almost a fluid rotation that when the Pistons get it going they will shut down any team.

The past 2 games have been an erratic, choppy hodge podge of movement. No one is in synch, the defense looks like 8 year olds just running to wherever the ball is. The Pistons look to have forgotten how to run their signature defense. Players are left wide open, they are not getting to the ball quick enough, they are committing to many fouls and they are getting frustrated because of this.

The Bulls have controlled the tempo of these 2 games. The usual Pistons defense is able to take the opponnet out of their game and make them play how the Pistons want them to. Instead of slowing down the game, the Pistons are racing to react and getting caught up in pace that the Bulls are setting. The Pistons have always been able to take a team that is running and make them slow down as if in molasses.

The Pistons are one of the few teams that are able to control the game with nothing but defense. They are able to force bad shots by frustrating their opponent by having them use most of the shot clock by blocking passing lanes, not allowing drives to the hoop and being in position to force tough shots. The past 2 games have had none of this.

The Pistons are going to have to get back into their usual defensive form to keep the Bulls from taking another game if not the series.
