So here we are..., Western Conference finals between Phoenix and Los Angeles? Disappointed that Nashville lost out as I thought they had a great team but, Mike Smith stole the show again! As for Los Angeles... I had a feeling they'd advance with the 'Philly Connection' of Richards and Carter as well as Quick between the pipes... St. Louis couldn't handle it and were swept away. I don't see a sweep here... Phoenix has proved that they are for real (regardless of possibly moving next year) and Doan and Co. look really good. Smith should be a Vezina finalist just by his playoff run but, it's regular season only. Goaltending is always the key in the playoffs and for these two teams, goaltending is not an issue... Phoenix' defense has to be there again for Smith and their offense needs to score at will. Los Angeles' defense, anchored by Doughty, is showing everyone that they will protect Quick at all odds but the offense has to start scoring! Brown, Richards and Carter need to fill the net consistently if the Kings are heading to the SCF for the second time since '93. I think they will... Los Angeles have been underdogs since October but should win this series.
