The Patriots are finishing up their rookie mini-camp, it seems that football is just over the horizon. The Pats signed Mississippi RB Brandon Bolden as a free agent after the draft, they also signed former Colts RB Joseph Addai. This was a curious signing for me, but not necessarily a bad signing. With the loss of BenJarvis GreenEllis I imagine they are looking for a veteran RB to help out the 2nd year RBs Ridley and Vereen.
Say what you want about Josh McDaniels as a Head Coach, but he was a damn good Offensive Co-ordinator for the Patriots and I for one am glad he's back. This is where he feels the most confortable and he also has WR Brandon Lloyd with whom he had in Denver and St louis. This time around he has a lot more weapons to choose from, although some may not make the team, but the best will be there opening day. The Pats also signed Bill Belichick's son Steve as a coaching assistant and I wish him good luck.
Lastly, I would like to mention Junior Seau and how sad his passing is. His home town Chargers and the people of San Diego held a Memorial for him this past week. This is a loss to all of the NFL football world and the fans, not just those teams he played for, Chargers, Dolphins and the Patriots, he will be missed. RIP Junior!
